Exploring the wild edges of emotion and reflection 🌿

“To the Child Within”

I see you, little one, tucked away,
Carrying burdens you never asked to stay.
You learned to laugh, to joke, to hide,
When the world felt too heavy, too sharp inside.

You wear your smile like armor and shield,
Trying to mend wounds time hasn’t healed.
And even on the days when it’s hard to cope,
You wrap your pain in laughter and hope.

But healing isn’t always sunshine and light—
Sometimes it’s sitting with shadows at night.
It’s saying, “I’m sorry you went through this pain,”
And holding yourself through the storm and rain.

Therapy’s a journey, not a race to the end,
It’s learning to be your own best friend.
It’s whispering to that child within:
“You deserved love from the very beginning.”

And though the road may feel heavy and long,
You’ve carried this far, you’ve always been strong.
One step at a time, let the healing unfold—
You’re rewriting your story, and it’s pure gold.
